Accurate, Cost-Effective Measurement Solutions for Coat Weight
NDC offers a full portfolio of non-contact gauging solutions for coat weight measurement for adhesive calendering applications. Our advanced gauging systems measure adhesive coatings using a single sensor, single-sided scanner configuration. This provides an accurate, compact and cost effective solution for this application.
Alternatively, multi-scanner systems can be configured for on-line processes where scrim and polyethyene (either roll-fed or extruded) are fed to the calender. Where possible, a direct coating measurement is made off the calender roll; otherwise differential weight sensors can be used to determine coat weight.
