Dear NDC Customers,
We are writing to let you know that Spectris has reached an agreement to sell its NDC business to the Nordson Corporation.
Nordson is a global precision technology organisation founded in 1954. Nordson engineers and manufactures products used for dispensing fluids and for fluid management; for test and inspection; for polymer processing; and for surface treatments. As with NDC, Nordson supports products with application expertise and direct global sales and service. Nordson serves numerous consumer and technology end markets including packaging (including food and tobacco), nonwovens, electronics, medical, appliances, energy (including electric battery), transportation, construction, as well as general product assembly and finishing. Nordson is headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, USA and has operations employing over 7,500 staff in more than 35 countries across the globe.
We believe that this is an excellent move for the NDC business, offering it much greater commercial and technical alignment with its parent group to allow it to realise its true potential.
As part of its long-term strategic plan Nordson identified the market need and opportunity to continue to expand its product offering into a broader range of measurement and control solutions. Following a number of significant acquisitions over the last decade Nordson has decided to acquire NDC to continue to expand and grow their business.
As a valued customer of our NDC technology, we would like to reassure you that all parties will be working together to ensure a smooth and professional handover.
The transaction is subject to certain regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2021. In the meantime, please be aware that your relationship with us will continue as usual and our sales, service and support staff will continue to serve you to their utmost, via your current route.
If you have any questions about this change, please don’t hesitate to speak in the first instance to your NDC representative.
Kind regards,
Marti Nyman
President
